Students can show a variety of livestock species such as steers, goats, sheep, pigs, rabbits and poultry.

Humble Livestock Show and Rodeo

The Humble Livestock Show has been around for over 60 years. This is the show that students have the oppurtunity to show in entering their Freshman year. Students have the oppurtunity to raise sheep, goats, pigs, poultry and rabbits as Freshman. Students entering their Sophmore year have the oppurtunity to raise steers. Students purchase and recieve their animals in the month October and show at the beggining of Febuary. Students must supply their own feed as well as supplies, but Humble ISD supplies the animals. Students will have a mass selection of the animals and this day they will select and take home their animal.

Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo

The Houston Livestock Show is a Livestock show that has been around for generations. Houston works much like The Youth Expo, you must purchase your own animal and supplies. Depending on which species of animal you want to show, depends on what time you need to purchase the animal. For instance pigs are purchased in November. This show takes up the month of March and each species shows a different week. Students have the oppurtunity to show sheep, goats, pigs, poultry, rabbits, and steers.
